Development, peace, and human rights on agenda as GUE/NGL sends delegation to the World Social Forum in Nairobi
A delegation of GUE/NGL MEPs is in Nairobi, Kenya this week to attend the World Social Forum (WSF) and the World Parliamentary Forum (WPF) 2007. The WSF slogan "Another World Is Possible" denotes a political, economic and social programme of global solidarity, gender equality, peace, social justice, environmental protection and the search for progressive alternatives to current globalisation trends. The GUE/NGL delegation is made up of seven MEPs from Italy and Germany who will join campaigners, NGOs, parties and other progressive forces from all over the world for five days of debate, panels, workshops and symposia.
