Dear friends, dear comrades,

last weekend there was a very successful international preparation conference in Stuttgart for the activities of the peace- and antiwar movement and the left against the NATO 60th anniversary summit in Strasbourg (France) and Kehl (Germany) on the 3/4 of April 2009.

We discussed with more than one hundred participants from 16 countries from Europe including the concerned region that there should be four main activities against the NATO summit in April 2009 in Strasbourg and Kehl:

- a big international demonstration on Saturday 4th April
- an Anti-NATO-conference on Friday 3rd and on Sunday 5th April
- direct actions and civil disobedience with focus on Friday 3th April and
- an international resistance camp from Wednesday 1st April to Sunday 5th April.

We decided to launch an international appeal.

For this appeal we start now collecting signatures from organisations and well known persons.

Please spread this appeal also within your party.
You can send me the signatures from your party, parliamentary group, organisation and from you as person to me (mail@tobias-pflueger.de and tobias.pflueger@europarl.europa.eu) as a member of the "international organizing committee" for the activities against the NATO 60th anniversary summit 2009.
